Couplings and stock repairs

Now it is time to check out all the couplers and repairs needed to the rolling stock, some were broken, damaged or just needed fixing in general.

The coaching stock had screw link couplings and although the new R-T-R coach from Hattons was okay the Southern kit built by myself was in need of a general tidy up.

Locomotive servicing.

A couple of the locos were in bad need of repair and this is a job in process and will take a while.

The two locos being repaired are:- Johnson 1F class and the G.W.R medium metro 2-4-0

Above:- Johnson 1F class gets a new set of plunger pick ups, this is quite a task getting off the tiny nuts that hold on the wires ! also the weights have come of the wheels and will need refitting.
